Apex Legends Season 2 Goes Live With New Trailer And Patch Notes

Season 2 of Apex Legends is now live for players across the globe, and already fans seem to be digging what Respawn has offered up.

For a month or so after its launch back in the winter, it truly looked like Apex Legends might snatch Fortnite‘s crown and become the king of the lucrative battle royale genre. But we’re now into July and Fortnite remains on top, and the competition isn’t even close.

One thing that very likely contributed to this was Apex Legends‘ severely underwhelming Season 1 Battle Pass. Though we all had high expectations for it, gamers were met with essentially meaningless rewards and a very grind-y progression system. But developer Respawn Entertainment has been taking note of our feedback and they’re hopeful that Season 2 will get a more positive reception.

And though it just went live today, it looks like the latest offering from the dev is already shaping up to be a lot more exciting than what we got last time. Players around the world have begun to dive into Season 2’s offerings and already, impressions are pretty positive. But for those of you who haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, take a look at the new trailer above, which shows you what you can expect when you boot the game up next.

Of course, in addition to the above video, we’ve also got the full list of patch notes, which can be found over on Reddit via the link below. A ton of changes have been made, but among the many highlights are new character Wattson, a ton of Daily and Weekly Challenges to complete, more crafting materials and, of course, some free rewards.

Suffice it to say, there’s a lot to keep you busy and while only time will tell if it’s enough to put Apex Legends back on top, or at least, close to the top, we’re certainly feeling hopeful right now and can’t wait to see what comes next.
