With the release of DOOM now just over a day away, Bethesda Softworks have released their latest promotional video to introduce even more of the customizable experience. The “Guns, Demons, Speed” video talks players through some more of the creative process, before going on to show the unique features on offer.

Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin talk at length about the different customization options players will have in DOOM, explaining how even a shotgun can be modified to make it much more than just a close-range weapon. Martin goes on to describe the game’s enemies as “chess pieces,” as they each have different features and styles. Building your full arsenal completes your hero’s “army,” allowing you to take on the full force of the enemies later in the game.

Stratton then introduces the upgrade system that’s been implemented in DOOM, explaining how it encourages multiple play-styles. Research Projects and Runes can be uncovered as you go, allowing you to customize your character to suit the way you want to approach the multiple arenas.

DOOM is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC from May 13, with PC players being able to pre-load the game via Steam right now.
