Double Fine has announced that Broken Age Act 2 will be released on April 28 and April 29 in North America and Europe, respectively.

In tandem with this, the studio will also launch the complete edition, bundling together both acts of the critically-acclaimed adventure game, on the same date for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It’s understood that this version will support Cross-Buy.

As for those of you who wish to pick up the game episodically on PC, you have until the release of Act 2 at the end of April, as Double Fine noted that budding explorers will only be able to purchase the complete set for $24.99 from that point on.

Having initially surpassed its Kickstarter goal back in 2012 — hauling in an impressive, record-breaking $3.45 million in the process — Broken Age has been almost three years in the making at the revered studio. As a matter of fact, Act 1 made its debut back in January of last year, where it was met with rave reviews from fans of the point and click genre and the more causal players alike.

Whether excitement for the conclusive act has subsided in the last fourteen months will ultimately be determined when Broken Age Act 2 makes its debut in little over a month’s time, but it’s nice to see that it will launch on all platforms when the time comes.
