According to Target and UK retailer Tesco, Activision’s next entry in their flagship franchise will arrive this November and be titled Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Tesco Direct’s online listing (which has since been removed) noted a place-holder release date of December 31st for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and included box art images for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the unannounced game. The cover artwork — while not necessarily final — was clearly not a placeholder image, and shows a solider pulling a mask over his face. The white markings on the solider’s mask appear to suggest that he could be the character Ghost from Modern Warfare 2, however, the position of the mask makes it impossible to say for certain.

The only other noteworthy bit of information about the Call of Duty: Ghosts box art is that it names Infinity Ward as the game’s developer. This is not surprising since last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II was a Treyarch developed title.

Target’s connection to the unofficial reveal of Call of Duty: Ghosts comes from an alleged future ad that was found on the Blu-ray.com forums. The ad clearly states that the game is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 5, 2013 (which is in line with past Call of Duty releases) for $59.99. Interestingly, the ad makes no mention of a next-gen Xbox or PlayStation 4 release, nor does it mention a Wii U version.

The “Ghosts” subtitle has been mentioned in recent Call of Duty rumors, which also suggested that the game would be revealed on May 1st. While this box art and advertisement seem to back up those unconfirmed reports, Call of Duty: Ghosts should still be considered nothing more than a rumor until Activision and Infinity Ward confirm the game.

Check out all the box art and advertisement images of Call of Duty: Ghosts in the gallery below, and we will let you know as soon as Activision makes an official announcement.
