The E3 booth may have already been revealed, but the announcement of the team behind the wheel for the upcoming Need For Speed: Most Wanted has only just received the green light. Criterion Games may be a rather unsurprising choice, having developed Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit back in 2010, but with their experienced hands in the driving gloves the series could be set for a successful return to the streets.

No other details have emerged from the pits as of yet, but with Hot Pursuit’s Autolog having found much appreciation amongst its audience it seems likely to have been tuned-up for a return. From the picture above, which was tweeted by Geoff Keighley and is supposedly the “first-ever image” of the game, Most Wanted‘s focus on police evasion thankfully seems to have remained as unshackled as ever.

Whilst nothing that has been gleaned so far about this title is particularly surprising, It is all rather exciting. With E3 just days away, surely EA can only ever be expected to throw even more fuel onto the fires of expectation.
