Daggerdale To Miss May 31 PSN Release Due To Network Not Being Ready

Those who are awaiting the launch of Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale on the PlayStation Network will unfortunately have to wait a little bit longer. The game's publisher (Atari,) told fans through Twitter, that the game will not be making its scheduled May 31 release date. The surprising reason given wasn't due to an internal delay, but rather the fact that they don't think the PlayStation Store will be ready in time for its release. Those who are awaiting the launch of Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale on the PlayStation Network will unfortunately have to wait a little bit longer. The game’s publisher (Atari,) told fans through Twitter, that the game will not be making its scheduled May 31 release date. The surprising reason given wasn’t due to an internal delay, but rather the fact that they don’t think the PlayStation Store will be ready in time for its release. The company tweeted, “looks like Playstation Network is not gonna be ready for Daggerdale release on 5/31.”

Despite an internal memo that circulated around Sony, stating that the service would be back up on May 24, it didn’t happen. Newer reports started to circulate, mentioning that the gaming giant hoped to have all of its services fully restored by May 31, but that plan seems to also be in jeopardy. Hopefully it won’t be offline for too much longer. Who knows – perhaps the tweet was premature, but there have been a lot of delays recently in relation to PlayStation services.

Atari further commented, saying to “Stay tuned for more details today.” Hopefully that means that they will clarify the situation sometime soon.
