Square Enix has announced that Deus Ex: The Fall (the follow up to Deus Ex: Human Revolution) will stay true to its scheduled Summer release window, by launching exclusively on the Apple App Store on Thursday, July 11th.

Promised to be the “full Deus Ex experience” with ” intuitive touchscreen gameplay,” Deus Ex: The Fall is set in the same year as Human Revolution (2027), but it contains an all-new story that acts as a sequel to the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect. The iOS exclusive picks up where the story in the novel left off, with players taking on the role of former British SAS Mercenary Ben Saxon.

The game’s plot centers around Saxon’s struggle against several corporations that have taken control over the supply of drugs needed to keep augmented humans alive. Considering that Ben is one of the augmented humans, his first priority is to capture the supply of life-saving drugs.

Deus Ex: The Fall will be available starting on July 11th for $6.99/£4.99/5.99€ from the App Store, and is compatible with iPad 2 and above, iPhone 4S and above, and iPod Touch 5 and above.
