Eight years on from the release of Faith’s maiden adventure, DICE is finally rounding the last corner in anticipation of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and to commemorate the occasion, the sequel’s launch trailer has landed online ahead of release.
Heralding the grand opening of the studio’s shimmering City of Glass, Catalyst‘s eye-popping sizzle reel champions the slick, first-person gameplay that fired Mirror’s Edge to fame in the first place, only this time harnessing the power of current-gen consoles.
In outlining the story that awaits Faith across the sterile, dystopian cityscape, both DICE and EA dropped the following synopsis in tandem with today’s trailer.
Times are about to change in the city of Glass. Barely out of juvenile detention, skilled Runner Faith Connors stirs things up with the city’s Conglomerate and the evil Gabriel Kruger. Faith is forced to start running for something far more important than herself.

Following a minor, last-minute delay, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will make a beeline for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 7 and June 9 in North America and Europe, respectively.
