Despite the release of the game’s so-called Final Stand expansion pack back in November, EA has confirmed that they still have more DLC plans for Battlefield 4 over the coming months.

Given that the add-on was labelled as Final Stand and all that, many had assumed that the company had wrapped up work on the blockbuster shooter and was beginning to shift its workforce over to the inevitable Battlefield 5. However, the publisher stated that this is simply not the case, and that both it and DICE have drafted up more content that will make its way into the title in the coming months.

“With Battlefield 4 Final Stand released, we hope and believe that you will enjoy it together with the rest of the game for a long time. However, there is one thing we want to assure you: there is more content coming for Battlefield 4.

“We will share details on exactly what this new content will be, and when it will arrive, in the near future. We understand that this may lead to even more questions about our plans, but rest assured that we’ll get back to you on the future of Battlefield 4 when the time is right,” it added.

At this time, EA didn’t allude to what exactly the content will be and whether it will be as heft as, say, Battlefield 4‘s previous DLC packs. From what we gather, it’s much more likely that the studio will provide players with another classic Battlefield map revamped for the modern era, along with new weapons and maybe, just maybe, additional vehicles.
