Picking up following the events of the original, the game reunites you with Detective Sebastian Castellanos. Squaring off with the mysterious Mobius organization once again, Sebastian will be thrust into a surreal and terrifying world. With a chance to save his daughter Lily within reach, will Detective Castellanos be able to handle another punishing dose of cerebral horror?

If the debut trailer unleashed tonight is anything to go by, The Evil Within 2 will be just as terrifying as its predecessor. In this clip alone we get a glimpse at ugly creatures, dark forests and burning buildings. All hallmarks of the horror genre. With his former franchise on the upswing now, it’ll be interesting to see what tricks Mikami brings to the table for the sequel. The Evil Within 2 is currently slated to launch on October 13th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Be sure to stay tuned over the coming days as we’ll no doubt learn more about the game during E3.
