Guerrilla Games was on hand during Sony’s E3 presser to unveil a brand new gameplay demo for Horizon Zero Dawn. It’ll launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 on February 28, 2017.
Introducing viewers to Aloy, the flame-haired protagonist at the center of Horizon‘s futuristic story, the extended demonstration sheds light on new characters and robo-dinos, with the latter said to be instrumental to the narrative at the heart of Sony’s AAA tentpole.
Originally slated to land before the year’s end before a recent delay pushed Guerrilla’s budding new franchise out of the calendar year, the studio explained the postponement as so:
“The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn. We realise that this decision may not please everyone. At the same time, we’re confident that the advantages of the additional development time afforded by the new date will become clear in the coming months, as we start to share more cool details and videos from Horizon Zero Dawn.”
Horizon Zero Dawn will immerse PS4 users in Guerrilla’s post-post-apocalyptic world on February 28, 2017.
