As confirmed previously, the two new heroes – Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic – will be introduced alongside the refreshing locales, with gameplay for both present in the new video. While it’s not immediately clear what each hero’s unique abilities are, it appears as if Krennic will have the power to call in aerial reinforcements à la Modern Warfare 2‘s AC-130 Killstreak. As was the case with Star Wars Battlefront‘s previous Death Star expansion, Scarif will feature a multi-phase game mode that transitions from space to full-on ground assault.

Rogue One: Scarif is due to release December 6 for all Season Pass holders on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and at a later date for everyone else. For those of you looking for a more realistic Star Wars experience, EA will be releasing Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission for free on the same day for PlayStation VR owners.

Rogue One: Scarif may mark the end of Star Wars Battlefront‘s post-launch life cycle, but work on a sequel is already well underway and on-track for a 2017 release, according to EA.
