Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Collector’s Edition Announced

Besides the recent confirmation that purchasing from the initial launch shipment of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has been confirmed as the only way to play Final Fantasy XV's demo, Square Enix now has another way to get potential buyers more interested in purchasing the game. Besides the recent confirmation that purchasing from the initial launch shipment of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has been confirmed as the only way to play Final Fantasy XV‘s demo, Square Enix now has another way to get potential buyers more interested in purchasing the game. Besides being able to pick up the standard edition of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases, a collector’s edition will be sold in limited quantities exclusively on the Square Enix online shop.

Priced at $99.99 instead of the standard $59.99, the collector’s edition will include a lengthy 200-page manga that further establishes the game’s world and characters, and a soundtrack CD packing 15 songs from the game handpicked by its composer, Takeharu Ishimoto. A steelbook case will be included to hold both the game and soundtrack discs, and five replicas of in-game cards used by the character Ace will be part of the package as well. It has also been confirmed that every copy of the collector’s edition will contain the Final Fantasy XV demo.

Players who pre-order both the standard and collector’s editions from Square Enix will also be automatically entered into a sweepstakes, with opportunities to win character figures, wall scrolls and a postcard book, as well as two grand prize packages that include custom PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems engraved with art from the game. More information is available at the sweepstakes’ official web page, and the collector’s edition is now available to pre-order through the official Type-0 HD site.

Both the standard and collector’s editions of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be available on March 17, 2015 in North America. We will continue to keep you updated on more news regarding the game as it drops, so stay tuned.
