Eidos Montreal is set to welcome a familiar face to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided with the release of the sequel’s first story DLC, System Rift.

Due to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 23, the add-on will herald the arrival of Frank Pritchard (played by Andreas Apergis) from Human Revolution. He’s the head of the cyber-security division at Sarif Industries and, as those familiar with the Deus Ex lore will know all too well, has a history with our protagonist Adam Jensen.

Fighting out of the same corner in System Rift, Mankind Divided‘s maiden expansion is described as so: “Desperate to get more information, Pritchard targets one of the most secure data banks ever created – the Palisade Blade. In agreeing to help, Adam may also be able to uncover hints as to who the illuminati really are.”

Priced at $11.99 as a standalone purchase, Season Pass owners will be able to download the DLC instantaneously when it drops in a few weeks’ time. Expect more information – and possibly the first trailer for System Rift – to hail from Eidos Montreal’s panel at PAX West. It’ll begin at 3pm PT tomorrow, September 3.

We understand that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided also has a second DLC pack in the works. Entitled A Criminal Past, it’ll hit all platforms (read: PS4, Xbox One and PC) in the early stages of 2017.
