New Fortnite Purple Xbox One S Bundle Leaked Online

With Fortnite continuing to grow beyond all expectations, it comes as no surprise that major platform holders have seen the merit of using the battle royale as a promotional tool. Limited edition console bundles are often responsible for driving unit sales, though nothing quite screams 'buy me!' like a custom paint job and several additional extra goodies not found anywhere else.

Given the Xbox One’s turbulent lifecycle, it, more than any other, definitely needs such a boost. Which is why, assuming this recent leak is accurate, Microsoft has once again decided to team up with Epic Games to give Fortnite fans, in particular, a reason to join the Xbox brand. It has, after all, been a hot minute since both parties joined forces to present such a treat, the first images for which you can feast your eyes on below.

Similarly to previous bundles, this fun-filled box comes packed with a limited edition purple Xbox One S and gamepad, as well as codes for a series of cosmetic items with which to kit your Fortnite avatar out with. Included is the Dark Vertex skin – a color swap of the existing Vertex outfit – and a tasty 2,000 bonus V-bucks to be spent however you wish. It appears too, that both a glider and pickaxe are part of the bundle, what with images for both present on the collection’s box art, but it remains to be seen whether that’s the case.

As far as availability and pricing are concerned, Microsoft has yet to officially confirm the bundle’s existence, though it very likely could be part of a surprise announcement reserved for next month’s E3. Regardless, expect further details over the weeks to come.

In the meantime, there’s a wealth of existing content waiting to be explored in-game. Fortnite Season 9 kicked off earlier this month and marked the arrival of several new gameplay features. See here for all the details.
