Once upon a time the most phallic character in Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien was Unkle Dill, who is literally a giant running pickle-man. Amazingly, Unkle Dill was dethroned yesterday when Gaijin Games revealed the existence of Reverse Merman.

Runner 2‘s Reverse Merman is perhaps the most amazing, hilarious, and slightly disturbing video game character that I’ve ever seen. He has the head and torso of a fish, the legs of a man, and he is sporting some ultra-tight briefs and flip-flops.

Aside from Reverse Merman, Gaijin also released some new screenshots of the game to go along with Nintendo’s Wii U announcement last week. We have combined both sets of Runner 2 screenshots in the gallery below for your viewing pleasure.

Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien‘s release date has not yet been announced, but according to Nintendo’s Wii U software launch list it should arrive on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U sometime before March 31, 2013. We will let you know as soon as something official is announced.
