Game of Thrones: Episode 6 – The Ice Dragon Slated For Mid-November Release

With yesterday welcoming the season finale of its Tales From the Borderlands, Telltale Games has shifted the focus to another of its episodic projects to signal the curtain call. This time, it’s the studio’s acclaimed rendition of George R.R. Martin’s Westeros that has received a release date for its own season finale, now that Game of Thrones: Episode 6 – The Ice Dragon has been pegged for release on November 17.

Similarly to Tales From the Borderlands, news of the season finale comes in tandem with Telltale confirming that the franchise’s first installment, Iron From Ice, will be available to download for free from today across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and mobile devices.

In anticipation of The Ice Dragon, Telltale also debuted a new featurette that takes a peek behind the scenes of the creative process, allowing some of the core cast – including Emilia Clarke, Natalie Dormer and Iwan Rheon – to trumpet the series’ innate appeal. There’s also a new synopsis, too, and if you’re fully caught up with Telltale’s Game of Thrones franchise, you can check said snippet out below.

The epic conclusion to the season is the most ambitious and diversely presented episode we’ve ever produced. The fate of House Forrester has been in the hands of players all season long, and the finale will be tailored to provide a uniquely harrowing conclusion for each and every player based on the decisions they’ve made in the game thus far.

Game of Thrones: Episode 6 – The Ice Dragon will bring the studio’s inaugural season to an end on November 17. Newcomer to Telltale’s GoT series? You can download its first installment, Iron From Ice, free of charge from today.
