Microsoft and The Coalition certainly aren’t holding back in regards to giving Gears fans plenty of incentive to pre-order Gears of War 4 ahead of its release in October. Along with the previously announced Vintage Del Pack, which includes exclusive character and weapon skins (and is now free to all pre-order customers), a new ‘Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack’ has just been detailed over on Xbox Wire.

Again included with all pre-orders of the third-person shooter, Brothers to the End includes three unique characters and some spangly gold weapon skins for the Lancer and Gnasher shotgun. Series veterans will be immediately familiar with the bonus characters, especially ‘Old Man Marcus’ which we first got a glimpse of back in June. The remaining two warriors are a ‘Tomorrow’ variant of Anya, which is based on her appearance in the TV commercial for Gears 4 and “Zombie Dom” which is, well, pretty self-explanatory.

  • Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.
  • Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.
  • Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.

Gears of War 4 launches worldwide for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11, and will support the use of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program.
