New Gears Of War 4 Gameplay Kicks Off Microsoft’s E3 Conference

Buying Gears Of War 4 for either Xbox One or Windows 10 will net you a free copy of the game for both platforms, developer The Coalition has announced via Microsoft’s E3 conference. Kicking off the show with a brand new demo showcasing the third-person shooter’s co-op campaign mode, it was also confirmed that all multiplayer modes will support cross-play between both platforms on launch day.

In regards to the gameplay itself, we’re given a glimpse of various new heavy duty weapons players will be able to use, as well as the return of the destroyed beauty environmental aesthetic made iconic by the original series. And just in case you were wondering if Gears 4 would see the return of Marcus Fenix, you’re in luck – the COG soldier makes an appearance at the end of the trailer, but looks like a pensioner.

Gears Of War 4 will launch for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11. An exclusive Gears-themed Xbox One game pad was also revealed and can be seen above.
