Glacier White PlayStation 4 Slim Announced For Europe, Launches January 24

An all-new color variation of the PlayStation 4 Slim will be available to buy in Europe from January 24, Sony has announced. The pristine, "glacier white" console will ship with an internal 500 GB hard drive as well as a similarly colored DualShock 4 controller, complete with improvements introduced to the pad with last year's initial Slim launch. Whether you're still looking to upgrade from a standard PS4 or just want a white version of the console that matches Microsoft's Xbox One S, the new model will set you back £259 in the U.K or €299 for the rest of the territories in which it'll be available.

As an aside, the same package will be made available in Japan from February 23, with the added benefit of a 1 TB option. As for North America, Sony has yet to comment on whether the bundle will make its way to the States, but we’ll keep you posted if and when the situation changes.

Strangely, there appears to be no similar offer for the PS4 Pro in sight, but give it time. Whatever color your PS4 happens to be, though, there are some big things happening on Sony’s platform this year. Besides the VR counterpart to Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 being exclusive to the PS4 for a limited time, next month sees the release of Guerilla Games’ highly anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn.
