Sony is wasting no time in detailing the newcomers to PlayStation Plus for the month of May. More often than not, the Japanese publisher would hold off until a Thursday before listing what software subscribers can expect to enjoy over the following four weeks, though the company has bucked trend by showcasing the new titles making their way onto the Instant Game Collection next week.
First up, on PlayStation 4, Ether One and acclaimed indie platformer Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will topline the offerings on Sony’s current-gen hardware, though console owners will be pleased to note that cross-buy will enable them to enjoy the other offerings, too. Specifically, Giant Sparrow’s ethereal The Unfinished Swan and Race the Sun on PlayStation 3, while PS Vita owners can look forward to Hohokum and off-beat platformer Murasaki Baby.
Here’s the official breakdown of the software heading to the Instant Game Collection on May 5 here in North America.
Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (PS4)
Ether One (PS4)
The Unfinished Swan (PS3; cross-buy with PS4, PS Vita)
Race the Sun (PS3; cross-buy with PS4, PS Vita)
Hohokum (PS Vita; cross-buy with PS4, PS3)
Murasaki Baby (PS Vita)
Take heed, PS Plus subscribers, as next week will also mark the date when Sony removes the likes of Tower of Guns, hit Nordic puzzler Never Alone, Dishonored, Aaru’s Awakening and Killzone: Mercenary and MonsterBag on the PlayStation Vita.
All of the content listed above will join the Instant Game Collection on PlayStation Store on Tuesday, May 5 in North America. Until then, let us know your thoughts on next month’s PlayStation Plus update.
