Have you checked out the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection yet? Hopefully, you’ve at least played them individually. If not, then you’re missing out on two very unique and (recently) visually upgraded classics.

Just a few days from now, there will be two ways to purchase and own Team ICO‘s much-talked about releases. In addition to being available on the same retail disc, both games are headed to the PlayStation Network on January 17. Some gamers will prefer this method because it eliminates the need for a disc. However, the real benefit is that the two titles will be available separately.

If you’re only interested in one of them, then downloadable means will definitely be the way to go, allowing you to save money in the process. Together, they retail for $40. Downloading just one will cost you half of that.

The PlayStation Blogcast broke this news today, along with information regarding three other retail titles, which are headed towards downloadable PSN status:

Crysis 2 – $40
Splinter Cell: Double Agent – $20
Rainbow Six: Vegas – $20
