Io Interactive’s Hitman Reboot Billed As An “Ever-Expanding” World; New Missions, Locations To Be Released After Launch

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s rather excellent cinematic, Io Interactive has debuted our first look at gameplay within its upcoming Hitman reboot, all the while slating Agent 47’s latest outing for a release in December.

What makes this game – Hitman 6, unofficially – so intriguing is the fact that the developer plans to release a myriad of content in the months after launch. From new missions and contracts to entirely new locations, Io Interactive wants to create an “ever-expanding” world of assassinations.

Keeping one ear to the ground, Io plans to pay close attention to the game’s community, allowing the general opinion to influence and coerce future updates in order to ensure the best gameplay experience possible.

Step into the shoe’s of the world’s most lethal assassin when Io Interactive’s Hitman reboot lands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in time for December 8.

Hitman will see players perform contract hits on powerful, high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world, from the highly fashionable Paris and sunny coast of Italy to the dust and hustle of the markets in Marrakesh in this creative stealth action game.

Gameplay focuses on taking out targets in huge and intricate sandbox levels with complete freedom of approach. Where to go, when to strike and who to kill – it is all up to you. And for the first time HITMAN will lead with a digital release inviting players into a world of assassination.

Hitman will begin on December 8th, evolving and deepening over time, with this initial storyline concluding in 2016.
