Possible Just Cause 3 Still Tweeted by Avalanche Games Founder

Some of the most video game fun I've had was swinging from tree to tree and along mountain faces in Just Cause 2. The vast world could be explored for hours without the traditional boredom that comes from extended play with a sandbox game. I know for a fact that I'll squander away hours in front of my television if a third instalment is released.

Christofer Sundberg, founder of Avalanche Games, shared this Tweet regarding a possible Just Cause 3 release with his followers:

We’re making awesome games at #avalanchestudios! This year will be awesome! #yearoftheavalanche

This was followed with a link to the photo above. Could it be a still from the forthcoming Just Cause 3? The landscape, character, and general design seems to point to a sequel to the wildly fun sandbox game. But is that a hammer he’s holding in his hand? Perhaps we’ll be able to get creative with our weapon wielding skills this time around.

If it proves to be a still from Just Cause 3, then I couldn’t be happier. The only problem is that now we have to wait for an announcement and an unknown release date. Let that anticipation begin!
