Kingdom Hearts III May Launch This Year According To Voice Actor Bill Farmer

Since its initial reveal at E3 2013, additional news and information on Kingdom Hearts III has been very scarce, other than periodic confirmations from the developers at Square Enix saying development was proceeding smoothly. While fans have had the recent PS3 re-releases of past titles to tide them over, those eager to find out more about the long-awaited threequel have had to be patient.

Now, the possibility that there may not be too long a wait has popped up. Bill Farmer, the voice actor who has played the Disney character Goofy throughout the series and many other Disney properties for years, recently tweeted that his recording sessions for the English version of Kingdom Hearts III have been completed, and that he was told to expect the game’s release later in 2015.

Fans of the series were quick to ask Farmer if he was positive regarding what entry in the series he was specifying, as last December’s Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX contained re-recorded dialog for the cutscenes in the DS spinoff Re:coded, which included his voice as Goofy. Thankfully, Farmer confirmed that Kingdom Hearts III was the specific game he was talking about.

Even more curious is that as of today, Farmer’s previous tweets regarding this topic have been deleted, with his latest tweet being the only recent one regarding the Kingdom Hearts series:

It seems very possible that Farmer may have been told not to divulge information on unreleased Kingdom Hearts games and deleted his tweets as a result, as well as the idea that he may have confused Kingdom Hearts III for another entry in the series, as there have been quite a few at this point. As a result, it’s obviously far from confirmed that the game will see release this year, but here’s hoping that some more concrete information on the game will be released before 2016.

We will continue to keep you updated on Kingdom Hearts III as more news drops, so stay tuned.
