Let Your Imagination Run Wild With Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer; Wii U Board Game Also Announced

Trust Nintendo to counter the triple-A action with a bunch of rather delightful announcements. So, if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the yesterday’s barrage of action from Halo 5: Guardians and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, kick back and watch the all-new trailer for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, a spinoff of the publisher’s adorable community simulation series that allows you to try your hand at building your own village.

Forget pulling out weeds and other humdrum activities, Happy Home Designer will see you handle special home design requests, engineering your very own close-knit community with a white picket fence to match.

In tandem with the trailer above, Nintendo also revealed an all-new Wii U board game called Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. As the title suggests, the game itself will incorporate the company’s range of NFC-powered figurines, and it’s understood Nintendo is manufacturing four Amiibo characters to coincide with the title’s release this holiday season. Those personas in question are Isabelle, Tom Nook, KK Slider and Mabel.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, on the other hand, will launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS on September 25, 2015.
