Sadly, there was no mention of a release date for Andromeda; the video does, however, shed light on the new galaxy, planets and characters featured in BioWare’s galactic adventure, and below you’ll find a screenshot of who we assume to be the leading female character. Of course, part and parcel of Mass Effect‘s appeal is how it allows players to choose the gender of their protagonist – remember FemShep? – and that’s a trope that will surely continue with Andromeda.

Powered by Frostbite, Mass Effect: Andromeda is shaping up to be visually stunning – a technical leap that will seem all the more remarkable given the last entry in the series, Mass Effect 3, launched on last-gen systems almost four years ago.

Looking forward, though, Mass Effect: Andromeda is currently pegged for release some time in 2017. But for the time being, you can drop your early impressions of the sci-fi sequel down in the comments section below.
