Todd McFarlane Tells Us When He Expects Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning

When the gaming press got their collective eyes and hands on Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning at last month's E3 expo, it quickly became a favourite. The game was a gem of the show, receiving a lot of praise, in-depth talk and collective jaw-dropping. When the gaming press got their collective eyes and hands on Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning at last month’s E3 expo, it quickly became a favourite. The game was a gem of the show, receiving a lot of praise, in-depth talk and collective jaw-dropping. Curt Schilling, the head of its developer 38 Studios, even stopped by to talk about his fantasy project – a title he’s been dreaming of making for a while now.

At the game’s Comic-Con panel today, development partner and artistic legend, Todd McFarlane stopped by to discuss all things Amalur. When asked about information regarding a release date, he responded with:

“It’s scheduled for February, unless EA tells us otherwise.”

It’s surprising that Electronic Arts didn’t make the official announcement themselves, which makes it seem like McFarlane maybe wasn’t supposed to speak about it this early. If true, the new release window is quite different from the previously targeted window of fall 2011.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is in development for the PC, XBOX 360 and PS3.
