Meet The Counter-Terrorism Units Of Rainbow Six Siege In New Video; Tactical Shooter Goes Gold

As another entry into Siege‘s Inside Rainbow video series, the clip is an in-depth look into the counter-terrorism unit and how they differ from the ones already revealed to the public. It’s likely to be the final gameplay trailer for the upcoming title in anticipation of its release in a few weeks’ time, though we can readily expect Ubisoft to fire up the marketing machine from now until December 1.

Initially revealed as Rainbow Six: Patriots a few years back, Rainbow Six Siege represents several years in the making, and the decision to steer the esteemed franchise toward intense, tactical operations was born out of Ubisoft’s desire to take the series in a new direction, rather than spicing up the formula due to commercial reasons.

Now, as Siege barrels down on its due date, Ubisoft captioned today’s brand new video by stating, “Rainbow is an elite team composed of members of the best Special Forces units from around the globe. In this new episode of Inside Rainbow, we invite you to learn more about the Spetsnaz Siege operators, the Russian counter-terrorism unit. Follow the blog at rainbow6.com/blog to learn even more about Glaz, Fuze, Kapkan and Tachanka.”

Emerging from a prolonged development window, Rainbow Six Siege will rappel onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on December 1, where it will face direct competition in the form of Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause 3.
