Beginning to roll out across different territories, Microsoft’s overhauled user interface for Xbox One offers a refined version of the console’s UI, a more accessible dashboard and, for some users, more than a few headaches.

After downloading the hardware’s latest update, however, a handful of console owners began reporting problems with sign-in, sluggish load times and blank tiles where their games and applications ought to be. Responding to the tech hiccups, Microsoft has detailed a series of workarounds for the most common of problems, which includes restarting the Xbox One, following a series of instructions on the company’s dedicated site, or deleting and re-installing a particular app that may be causing problems.

Here’s a list of the most common issues:

–Slower than normal first boot after updating to the New Xbox One Experience

Solution: Allow up to 15 minutes on the green Xbox One boot-up animation before you begin troubleshooting. If the screen doesn’t change after that amount of time has passed, hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until the console powers down. Wait 15 seconds, then power the console back on

–Blank tiles in My games & apps

Solution: Allow the console a few minutes to update these tiles. To check if the appropriate data has been retrieved, go to Home, highlight My games & apps in the big tile, press the Menu button on your controller, and select Quit. Then relaunch My games & apps.

–Can’t sign in due to repeating password prompts

Solution: To resolve this issue, follow the instructions at on this article.

–A game or an app may appear to be stuck requiring a content update

Solution: To complete the installation of the game or app update, you’ll need to either insert the game disc or sign in to the account that purchased the game or downloaded and installed the app.

–An app may fail to launch with error 0x800705b4 after a title update

Solution: Delete and re-download the app
