Missing Eevee Evolutions Might Be Coming To Pokémon Go

While Pokémon fans will have to wait a few more months before the release of Sword and Shield, there's still plenty of fun to be had with developer Niantic's AR mobile game. Earlier this week, a brand new Pokémon Go event let players catch their very own adorable Detective Pikachu, just in time for the film's release later this month. Aside from this detective-solving version of the franchise's mascot though, Niantic also released three more legendary creatures into the wild.

While Pokémon fans will have to wait a few more months before the release of Sword and Shieldthere’s still plenty of fun to be had with developer Niantic’s AR mobile game. Earlier this week, a brand new Pokémon Go event let players catch their very own adorable Detective Pikachu, just in time for the film’s release later this month. Aside from this detective-solving version of the franchise’s mascot though, Niantic also released three more legendary creatures into the wild.

Those who played Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum will no doubt remember the legendary trio from Sinnoh, which consisted of Azelf, Mespirit, and Uxie. Just last week, these three lake guardians started appearing around the globe and were not relegated to endgame raids, unlike most other legendaries. If you were looking to expand your collection of Pokémon even further though, you might just be in luck.

As reported by ComicBook.com, a datamine has unearthed evidence indicating that a handful of new evolutions will be heading to Pokémon Go. As Niantic continues its rollout of Generation 4 creatures, there are still a few missing in action, including Leafeon and Glaceon (both evolutions of Eevee), as well as Magnezone and Probopass.

Moving forward, it seems that the game will feature three new types of lures, which will attract Pokémon with specific attributes for a set period of time. The Glacial Lure, for example, will coax out creatures who love the cold, while the Magnetic Lure caters towards those “that possess a magnetic field.” These new modules also cause some Pokémon to evolve, and some players are speculating they will be used to unlock some yet-to-be-released Sinnoh evolutions. If you’re looking to fill out your Pokédex, be sure to keep your eye out for these new lures.

Good luck, Trainers!
