Warner Bros. has announced that their “Brutal Fruit Ninja Clone“, more commonly referred to as Mortal Kombat for the Vita, will hit retailers on May 1st in North America and on May 4th in the UK.

Mortal Kombat brings to the Vita 150 new Challenge Tower missions, touchscreen fatalites, and all the DLC characters released for the console versions. This pretty much makes it the definitive version of the 2011 franchise reboot, and the best reason to buy a screen protector for your Vita.
