In a shakeup for the series, protagonist Phoenix Wright will find himself relocated from his usual metropolitan setting to the Eastern island of Khura’in. Being a more mystical-centric area, Wright will have to deal with priestess Rayfa Padma Khura’in, who is able to expose the last memories of murder victims, in his quest to expose the truth.

Similar to the last entry, Dual Destinies, certain chapters will also focus on Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, Wright’s younger understudies, as they take on other cases back home. Maya Fey, Wright’s longtime assistant, will also finally return to the series, but the reunion won’t go smoothly, as she’ll soon find herself involved in one of the primary mysteries.

Each Ace Attorney game has a tradition of introducing a new prosecutor for players to confront in court, and though not showcased in this trailer, expect Wright to take on Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, a monk who seeks justice so that victims may rest in peace. Former prosecutors Miles Edgeworth and Simon Blackquill will also play a role in the story to some extent, along with old sidekicks Trucy Wright and Ema Skye.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on Spirit of Justice and the Ace Attorney series as more news drops, so be sure to stay tuned.
