Octodad: Dadliest Catch Is Guaranteed To Make You Smile

I’m not sure if you guys have caught on to this or not, but I tend to like weird things. I’ll give you a second to catch your breath. Sure, I love more mainstream titles such as Mass Effect 3, Skyrim and Battlefield 3, but I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for the long shot indie games. So when a game like Octodad comes along, it instantly has my full attention. It’s a video game for the sake of video games. You play as an octopus that is living a lie so his human family doesn’t find out his horrible dark fishy secret. So he has to find a way to do things we take for granted without raising suspicion. I defy you to pick up a teddy bear and tuck in your daughter when you only have tentacles instead of arms and legs.

Thankfully the students behind Octodad have decided to grace us with a sequel. The newly formed Young Horses development team has raised enough money through Kickstarter to fully fund Octodad: Dadliest Catch and have released the first trailer. You can download the song here, and I can see no good reason why you shouldn’t. This will probably be my ringtone by the end of the evening. If you haven’t played the original, download it right now. It’s absolutely free, and you’re going to need the practice unless you want to destroy your family.
