Oculus Rift Finally Heads To Retail In Europe Next Month, Here’s Where You Can Find It

Thankfully, that date has finally come for Europe and Canada: Oculus Rift will launch in both territories on September 20, with pre-orders open now for the relevant stockists. Be quick if you intend to nab yourself one of the headsets though, if stock for the VR device goes as quick as Sony's PlayStation VR, you won't have long to secure one.

Despite launching back in March for early backers and pre-order customers who managed to get their purchase in directly with Oculus VR before stock sold out, the rest of the consumer market has been left patiently waiting for the announcement of a full retail release ever since.

We’re excited to announce that Rift is coming to retail in Europe and Canada September 20!

Rift availability and in-store demos are expanding to new retail partners, including:

UK: Amazon.co.uk, John Lewis, Curry’s PCWorld, GAME Digital Plc, and the London department store Harrods.
France: Amazon.fr and FNAC.
Germany: Amazon.de, MediaMarkt, and Saturn.
Canada: Best Buy and Microsoft Store Online.
You can order Rift online from retailers in Europe and Canada starting today, and they’ll start shipping and be available in-store September 20. The suggested retail price in Europe is £549/€699.

As an added bonus, Oculus VR confirms that each purchase comes with “popular VR platformer Lucky’s Tale,” as well as “hundreds of free 3D 360 videos and VR movies.” If that’s not incentive enough, how about the recent news that Minecraft is now fully playable with Oculus Rift?
