I’m not sure what inspired game companies to bring back the more classic FPS experience I grew up with, but I’m thankful for it. With the success of Serious Sam 3 and Rise of the Triad in development, I dare say we’re standing in the doorway of a new golden era of gaming.
Cult classic Painkiller is finally getting the reboot treatment as Painkiller: Hell & Damnation will be released on PC’s this Halloween. Those of you looking to slay some demons on consoles will have to wait until January 22nd.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation will retail for $19.99, but there will be a collector’s edition available on the PC for $29.99 that includes the soundtrack, a making of DVD, and art book, an exclusive multiplayer skin and a tarot card power up for single mode.
