Counter-terrorism operations are now up and running, as Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Siege open beta has just gone live across all platforms. As you may recall, it had been delayed (as of yesterday) due to matchmaking, connection and related performance issues, causing many to worry. After all, the game is due to officially release next Tuesday.

This celebratory news was posted on the game’s forums an hour ago, where a member of the development team had the following to say:

“We are happy to confirm we will be launching the Rainbow Six Siege open beta at 12pm EST,” Ubisoft confirmed on its forums. “We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps. For everyone who hasn’t been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding.”

If you’re worried about the game struggling with such problems at release, you’re not alone. However, Ubisoft has attempted to assure its fans that this open beta has helped them prepare Rainbow Six: Siege for a stable launch.

Here’s hoping that will end up being the case.
