Resident Evil 2 Finally Gets A Full-Blown Nemesis Mod

Cool as Mr. X may be, I remember how he was overshadowed by Nemesis soon after his 1998 debut. Not only that, but the latter monster mentioned has actually gone on to appear on film in 2004’s Resident Evil: Apocalypse, leaving the other guy in the dust. But thanks to the immense popularity of the recently released Resident Evil 2 remake compounded with the power of social media, Mr. X has now become more of an icon than he could’ve back in the day.

Still, when it comes down to it, I feel Nemesis is more terrifying than Mr. X. Basically, I’m willing to say that because he runs and sometimes packs heavy artillery, as opposed to the sharply dressed Tyrant who stalks you at a brisk Michael Myers-like pace.

In other words, if Mr. X makes you poop your pants now, then diapers may need to be given out as pre-order bonuses if and when a Resident Evil 3 remake sees the light of day.

As you may recall, there was that mod we wrote about not long ago featuring a Nemesis-like creature crafted from the “Super Tyrant” skin. This time, though, we can present him in all of his glory. Seen below in a video posted by BeastGamingHD, two such foes are in pursuit of Katherine Warren.

From what we can see, this is the best alteration yet catered toward RE 3 devotees. I mean, not only do we have a grotesquely beautiful Nemesis skin imported over from Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, but his theme music and “STARS” growl remain intact. The only thing missing, however, is his ability to run. Then again, if you were to play on Hardcore difficulty, he’ll come at you a bit quicker.

Tell us, are you jazzed to see the latest mod applied to Resident Evil 2? If so, would you pick up a remake of RE 3 if given the opportunity? Sound off in the usual place below!
