With Resident Evil: Revelations‘ launch day less than two weeks away, time is quickly running out on Capcom’s pledge to distribute a pre-release demo for the survival horror 3DS port. Thankfully, someone at the publisher suddenly remembered that promise today, and rushed out an announcement that the Revelations‘ demo will be released on May 14, 2013 in North America (May 15th across Europe) on PSN, XBLA, the Wii U eShop, and Steam.

The Resident Evil: Revelations demo takes place at the beginning of the game, and has players infiltrate the cruise ship “Queen Zenobia” as Jill Valentine. Jill’s mission is to rescue the missing BSAA members Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat, whose last know location pinpointed them as being on board. Naturally, things quickly fall apart, as all of the scary virus monsters on the ship suddenly get a powerful hunger for a tasty Jill sandwich.

Resident Evil: Revelations launches on May 21, 2012 in North America (May 24th for European gamers) on every system except for the Vita (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC) for $49.99. Digital versions of the game will also be released over XBLA, PSN and the Wii U eShop, however, Capcom has still not set a date for the game’s digital launch.

Make sure to check out the demo of Resident Evil: Revelations next week, and check back for our full review in time for the game’s release.
