Rocketbirds 2: Evolution Will Make A Break For PlayStation 4 And Vita In 2016

Developer Ratloop Asia and Sian Yue Tan have unveiled the first details for upcoming sequel Rocketbirds 2: Evolution, which is inching closer to a release across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

In the meantime, the studio has debuted our first look at the game in motion, revealing an overhauled co-op mode – entitled Rescue Mode – along with tweaked controls and AI. Gunning to create a sequel that improves on PS3’s Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken in every which way, Sian Yue Tan took to PlayStation Blog to offer an overview of Evolution, which looks set to retain the eye-catching art style of its predecessor.

Per PS Blog:

“The original Rocketbirds, with its memorable art style and hilariously dark sense of fowl humor, still holds a special place in many gamers’ hearts around the globe,” said Rocketbirds creator, Sian Yue Tan. “We’ve been working on delivering a sequel for some time now, and are thrilled that it will soon be available to players, who will in turn be thrilled that it builds upon and improves just about everything they loved about the original.”

Touting Cross-Buy and Cross-Save, Rocketbirds 2: Evolution will make a beeline for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in the not-so-distant future, and we’ll keep you updated as the developer closes in on a firm release date.
