Split across Xbox One and Xbox 360, it should be noted that all four games will be playable on Microsoft’s current-gen system thanks to the hardware’s backwards compatibility feature.

And so, from Monday, August 1, Xbox Live Gold members will gain access to Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, the latest installment in Koei’s ever-popular Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors crossover. Meanwhile, on Xbox 360, timeless dungeon-crawler Spelunky – which has players burrow through procedurally generated tombs and caverns for plundered loot – will be available up until August 15, when it’ll be replaced on the Games With Gold roster by Beyond Good & Evil HD. It’ll be free to download through August 31.

Finally, WWE 2K16 will pummel its way onto the digital selection alongside Beyond Good & Evil HD on August 16, offering fans ample time to catch up on last year’s installment before the arrival of WWE 2K17 in October.

So, there you have it; Microsoft’s Xbox Games With Gold have been revealed for August, 2016. But what are your initial impressions of the lineup?
