Before EA and DICE take to the stage to finally unveil some gameplay footage for Star Wars Battlefront – April’s orchestrated CG trailer notwithstanding – Amazon has unveiled a pair of images showcasing the box art for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Deluxe Edition.

The rather striking screenshots are included in the gallery below, where we see the oncoming forces of the Rebel Alliance through the visor of a battle-worn Stormtropper. Evocative stuff, and the artwork itself is certainly much more impressionable than the standard fare for triple-A titles. As for what Battlefront’s Deluxe Edition includes, players who opt for the premium package can expect numerous in-game items including the DL-44 blaster, Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, Ion Shock and Victory.

That’s not the only piece of extra content, though, after DICE noted that by pre-ordering Star Wars Battlefront through participating retailers, ardent fans will be able to get early access to the Battle of Jakku DLC before it releases for free on December 8. What makes this expansion noteworthy is the fact that it bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and Disney’s upcoming The Force Awakens, meaning it won’t be long before you find out the history behind that downed Star Destroyer glimpsed in the film’s most recent trailer.

Star Wars Battlefront is primed to have a big showcase during E3 next week, where DICE’s licensed shooter will likely appear at both EA and Sony’s press conference. Keep your eyes peeled.
