This past weekend, SEGA of America accidentally posted three screenshots for an unannounced title on its Flickr stream. That game was Super Monkey Ball for Vita. Its unintentional reveal has led to official confirmation from the gaming giant.

Confirming the leak this morning, SEGA gave the project a 2012 release window. They furthered the confirmation by stating that the game will be playable using Vita’s “dual analog sticks and front/back-touch controls.”

When Super Monkey Ball rolls its way onto Vita, it will bring with it new worlds, game types and updated visuals. Multiplayer will be available for up to four rollers using WiFi. Additionally, it has also been announced that it will include an updated version of “Monkey Target” mode.
