Though their journey may have begun on PlayStation Vita two years ago, Iota and Atoi are primed to march defiantly onto PlayStation 4 this September, after developer Media Molecule confirmed Tearaway Unfolded‘s console release.

Hitting Sony’s flagship hardware on September 8 for $39.99, the studio also detailed the platformer’s pre-order bonus in the form of the Crafted Edition. Pictured below, the premium package bundles together an array of in-game content, including costume references to some of Sony’s more iconic mascots such as God of War‘s Kratos. Moreover, ardent PlayStation fans can expect the Crafted Edition to include cute nods to franchises such as Lemmings, Gravity Rush, No Man’s Sky, The Order: 1886, God of War, Infamous, The Last of Us, and Killzone.

As one of the more under-appreciated gems on PlayStation Vita’s library, we’re delighted to see Tearaway get the recognition it deserves. When it released in 2013, the platformer – channeling the unbridled creativity synonymous with Media Molecule – put all of the handheld’s somewhat extraneous features to good use, and it’s understood that the soon-to-be-released PS4 port will experiment with the console’s DualShock 4 in a similar manner.

Perhaps the most notable addition in Tearaway Unfolded is the fact that MM is bundling in a copy of the game’s inspired soundtrack, which includes all of the original tracks that accompanied Iota and Atoi on their journey across the studio’s idiosyncratic paper creation. Expect much more from the PS4 port as it gears up for its release on September 8.
