UPDATE: It seems like the free skin is available now – at least, on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Armchair superheroes will have extra reason to dive back into Batman: Arkham City this week. Then again, it’s not like most will need extra incentive to do so, considering how great the game is.

The game’s director, Sefton Hill, commented to Joystiq, saying that his team has a thank you gift lined up for their customers. Set to launch tomorrow, that present will take the form of a Batman Inc. suit. It will be available as a free download on PSN, Xbox LIVE and PC. Thank you, Rocksteady Games.

Mr. Hill’s exact comment, which we paraphrased above, is here:

“…thank you all for your incredible support before, during and after the game’s release,” he explained (giving reason for this free gift).

If you’d like all of your purchased costumes to become available during your first campaign play-through, there’s a code which may do the trick: Load up your save file and go to the game’s main menu. Then, press left, left, down, down, left, left, right, up, up, down. Afterwards, you should be able to enter Batman’s closet earlier than before.

That’s not it, however. The folks behind Arkham City and its downloadable content packs, have combined three packs into one. Retailing for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15), the Arkham Bundle contains:

Nightwing Bundle Pack
Robin Bundle Pack
Arkham City Skins Pack

You’ll also find a new challenge map pack, which includes three new arenas for 240 Microsoft Points ($3):

Batcave
Joker’s Carnival
Iceberg Lounge

Both of the aforementioned packs are slated to go live sometime today.

As if you needed more reason to lurk in the prison city’s shadows…
