You’ll Be Able To Transfer Your Guardians Into Destiny 2

With a sequel to Destiny all but officially announced, those who've spent many hours with the first game are surely worried about losing all of the time and effort that they've put into customizing their unique characters. Thankfully, that fear is unwarranted, as Bungie community guru David "DeeJ" Dague has promised that players' avatars will carry over into Destiny 2.

With a sequel to Destiny all but officially announced, those who’ve spent many hours with the first game are surely worried about losing all of the time and effort that they’ve put into customizing their unique characters. Thankfully, that fear is unwarranted, as Bungie community guru David “DeeJ” Dague has promised that players’ avatars will carry over into Destiny 2.

DeeJ made this announcement during an interview with IGN, stating:

“The idea is that the Guardian you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure,” he said. “If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they’ve had a relationship with the same character for a very long time.”

If you’re worried about the authenticity of the above comment then you’ll be happy to hear that Bungie has gone on record to support its employee’s claims, by confirming that Guardians will be fully transferrable between Destiny and its sequel.

Destiny 2 has yet to be announced, but we all know it’s coming. Stay tuned for more information on the project as it develops. For now, all we can do is prepare to enter The Dark Below, as the game’s first expansion is scheduled to launch this very week.
