Xbox is getting roasted online for its seemingly insensitive profile picture update on Twitter. Pop Crave’s Twitter account immediately pointed out this logo change in a tweet that amassed millions of views over the weekend.

We Got This Covered confirmed via the Wayback Machine that Xbox had indeed adopted a Pride-themed logo just days before switching it to the Diablo IV logo.

For one Twitter user, this gaffe represents Xbox going down a peg in the overall console wars.

The crying emoji was all one commentator could muster upon the realization that Xbox hadn’t even kept the Pride logo active for one week.

For one Twitter user, this was just another example of the sometimes superficial nature of Pride Month marketing that so many companies engage in nowadays.

Back in January, Xbox boss Phil Spencer announced his intention to acquire Activision Blizzard, the company that produced Diablo IV, in a landmark $70 billion deal. The highly anticipated action role-playing game makes its way to Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC on June 6.
