Xbox One owners won’t have to wait long to download the console’s July update. That’s because, according to Microsoft, the update will become available “in the coming days,” which is good news for achievement fanatics.

You may remember that this July update was outed during Microsoft’s E3 2014 presser, with its big draw being the ability to Snap to the system’s achievement tracking app during gameplay. Being able to do so will not only make the device more user-friendly, but it will also allow gamers to figure out how close they are to unlocking specific achievements on the fly. Gone will be the need to momentarily exit game sessions in order to look up said information.

Going further, it’s also been mentioned that this month’s Xbox One update will allow for:

Double tap Snapping – Gamers can Snap and Unsnap without needing voice commands, or having to return to the main menu.
The ability to “Like” Game DVR clips, with support for English and German languages being made available to users in specific regions
Support for “Future Digital Bundles and Compilation Discs”

That latter list item is a bit confusing, so here’s a brief explanation from Microsoft’s own Major Nelson:

“We’re doing some work now so that publishers will have options for great digital bundle and disc compilation offerings in the future.”

“As we test this feature, we’ll be seeing more flexible combinations of game titles and game content.”
