Xbox Live Silver members, has Microsoft got a deal for you! For this weekend only you can semi-pretend that you purchased a $60 Xbox Live Gold subscription and get free access to watch all the Netflix you can handle until Monday — assuming you also have a Netflix streaming account.

Yes Sir/Ma’am you read that right, free access to Netflix for a whole weekend! Just think, instead of turning on your PlayStation 3, iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, Apple TV, Android phone, Android tablet, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, PC, Smart TV, WD TV Live Plus, Mac, Roku, Blu-ray player with Netflix, Vita, TiVo, Boxee Box (or any of the other thousands of devices that can stream Netflix for free), you can kick on the old 360 and live life like the paying Xbox Live Gold members do.

Ah, the good life is finally yours at last!

One word of warning though, once you get a taste of that Netflix running on the Xbox 360 you will be hard pressed not to fork over whatever it takes to keep that Xbox Live Gold content streaming though your console. It’s just that good…

At any rate, the reason for the great gift of free Xbox Live access to Netflix is so that you can make sure not to miss the premiere of House of Cards, Netflix’s all-new original series starring the dreamy Kevin Spacey. The big premiere kicks off tonight — as does the limited time free access to the Xbox 360’s Netflix app — so make sure to tune in.

Microsoft also wanted to let all the Xbox Live Gold advertisement fans (if you enjoy the Xbox Dashboard this means you) know that Hulu’s Adzone can now be accessed on your Xbox 360 even if you don’t have a Hulu Plus subscription. This will let you sort though the Dashboard ads, then start up Hulu Adzone and “watch all your favorite commercials from this year’s Super Bowl”. Why it’s like a dream come true!
