Along with July's San Diego Comic Con, October's New York Comic Con is usually one of the biggest pop culture events of the year. 2016's convention - the eleventh of the annual event - was no different and over the course of last weekend, we learned some fantastic things about our favorite films and TV shows.

8) William Shatner Is Two-Face In Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders Sequel

In a year where the live-action Batman (as played by Ben Affleck) is darker than ever, animated comedy movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders – an affectionate return to the world of the 60s Batman TV show – is a sorely needed reminder that Gotham’s hero can crack a smile now and then. It’s only just arrived in theatres this week, but a sequel has already been announced. What’s more, it will have a very special guest star.

Following on from the first movie’s casting of original stars Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar, the as-yet untitled follow-up will unite the Caped Crusaders with another icon of that decade – Star Trek‘s William Shatner. The erstwhile Captain Kirk will voice none other than Two-Face in the movie. Fans might know that Two-Face never appeared in the show, but now, fifty years later, this wrong will at long last be righted.
